When Two Heads are Better Than One: A Successful Supply Chain Job Share

A panel discussion produced by boom! Global Network | Replay from 19 June 2024

In this live session, KaSi Calvert-Reeves, Global Head of Quality, Beauty & Wellbeing at Unilever, spoke with boom! host Beth Morgan about a revolutionary job share.

KaSi is actually two people – Katrina Reeves and Siri Calvert. Working three days per week each, overlapping on a Wednesday, Katrina and Siri successfully share one role at Unilever, leading a team and working with colleagues and partners effectively as 'one' person. Between them they have 50 years’ experience and are hoping to grow further in their careers together. They have similar backgrounds, as they both went straight from university into manufacturing roles, but then followed slightly different career paths – Siri specialised more in sustainability and Katrina in the customer service supply chain. Bringing together their different skills and experiences into one role makes them a very strong team.

In this session you will learn more about how they manage to achieve this in such a seamless and productive way. Why and how did this job share come about? If this is something you'd like to do yourself, or set up for members of your organisation, what is the best way to set up such arrangement and best practices to make sure it works well? Can it work for everyone? What are the benefits to the business?

Katrina and Siri share their experiences and what they've learned along the way.
